Raising money to bring safe drinking water to Ecuador's rainforest communities
In Ecuador's rainforest, inhabitants face chronic health problems due to the consumption of contaminated drinking water; a reality that makes the lack of safe drinking water a leading health issue in the developing world. Last year, a team of students from MIT traveled to Ecuador's rainforest, where they worked successfully with a local water board team to bring rainwater harvesting technology to two Amazon villages. This year, the local water board team is hoping to expand its work on this project with your financial help! Please consider running in the upcoming road race and/or donating on this webpage to help this important cause.
